An integrated and proactive risk management philosophy is a sound starting point for involvement in the environmental services arena. An integrated risk management program is achieved by placing appropriate emphasis on each component of the program. Additionally, it is important to realize that effective risk management is a continuing process, something that should be practiced daily.
This publication is designed to (1) help environmental practitioners understand the unique sources of risk inherent in environmental practice and (2) help them operate more successfully by providing checklists of recommended practices for managing these sources of risk, and a discussion of each.
Managing Risk in the Delivery of Environmental Services is broken down into four main categories, and includes an appendix.
